I was quite nervous performing real life suturing for the first time, and my attending physician suggested I get more practice. I have tried suturing on bananas, pillow case, chicken breast… not the best experience. I wish I knew these practice kits exist before! The kit came with full set of essential tools and nylon threads. I was able to practice all the primary knots over and over again to get a steady hand and become much more competent. The attending physician complemented me on how well I know my knots now and that my hand movement has become much more confident and techniques much more professional. Thanks!

So I am med student, hoping to become a plastic surgeon one day, and I just started my residency. My suturing definitely needed some practice to get myself ready for real life, so just like everyone else I was a regular at my local grocery store shopping for chicken breasts and pig’s feet, and practicing that way. Also banana peels were decent enough for practice… But such a messy way to practice, and often smelly! Yikes! Then one day I ran into one of my old teachers and he told me about these suture kits that you can buy online, that are so much better than the gross meat and banana peels. They are more realistic and are made just like real human flesh. The board itself looked and felt quite realistic, similar to human flesh indeed and had lots of cuts, plus space for more cuts to be made. So overall I was pleasantly surprised, as I tend to be a skeptic and a critic. But the product was very good, I’ve been using the suture pad and the tools for a while now, making new incisions over and over again, suturing away and getting better and better.

The product is worth the price, but for an undergraduate medical school level these equipments should be fine enough to practice! 100% satisfied !!!the practice board is about the size of your palm( slightly bigger)

This is awesome! I am a FNP student attending online classes. In my clinical setting we have encountered patients needing sutures but I never had any experience or practice with this task. Anyways, to help me learn I purchased this kit and my preceptor sat down with me and taught me a simple suture. She was impressed by the quality of the kit and the fact that real tools were provided.
